Covid has affected many people in the world in 2020. It has been the biggest story to talk about in the world and affects people in school, sports, and people’s personal life. It was unexpected with lots of people not knowing how to handle it and people having to quarantine and wear mask wherever they go to protect them from this disease and was a great pandemic that was unexpected.

It has affected lots of athletes with cancelling of seasons at the start of the disease because no one had a idea how to handle it and how to keep it from spreading. With time many affiliations around the world started to figure out how to continue seasons and have many people go back to work and school. In sports it started out with the NBA having the biggest protocol with making players get tested before they were allow to participate in any NBA events and once they were cleared the NBA had made a bubble in Florida where there was rules of outside visitors not being allowed in at any cost and if you went outside the bubble and came back you would have to be quarantined for up to 2 weeks depending on what they feel like you need. This was for rest of the season and playoffs until and it worked there was no players in the bubble with corona and was able to be contained for months. This was one of the best ideas in sports and was able to have the rest of their season which was good after all sports being cancelled seeing one able to finish made it feel like their is hope for other sports.

For other sports it is much harder to do a bubble because of how much the teams travel and it is harder for them to make it so everyone can play on the same field, court, etc… Football did not do a bubble but they aren’t allowing fans in the stadium to keep the players away from outside visitors but the NFL still has gotten cases and had to postpone games too other time due to covid. It shows how much harder it is to contain covid with other sports but they are trying and making an effort and that is all we can ask for. With every little step, is a step back to going back to having a normal life with no masks and everyone not freaking out everyday thinking they might have covid.

Athletes are having to adjusting during practice and in the weight room with wearing mask for both and having to social distance in meeting and not having as much bonding time with your teammates. All of this is bad, but it all could be a blessing in the making which can bring you together more and more. It is just how take it and not think of it as a set back but as opportunity to develop your craft and make your teammates and yourself better.
